Tool steel includes cold work tool steel, hot work tool steel and plastic tool steel.
Cold work tool steel : Because of the characteristic properties of cold work tool steel, such as high hardness、high toughness 、high strength and etc, it has a wide application scope and usually apply to carbon tool steel，alloy tool steel，high speed steel ，high speed steel powders，high alloy steel powders etc. It is mainly used in the manufacture of the cold state of the workpiece pressing die，including cold extrusion mould，punch，cutting tool，cold punching die， cold upsetting die，roller die，wire drawing die etc.
Hot work tool steel : It is mainly used in manufacture of the high temperature under the pressure of work on processing of the mold. Such as hot-forging die，hot extrusion die，die cast tooling，hot forged moulds etc. And its working temperature is usually above 200°C.
Plastic mould steel : It is mainly used in producing various kinds of plastic products mould, which its main properties are wear resistance、corrosion resistance stainless、toughness etc. Plastic mould steel includes carbon structural steel，carburized plastic steel，prehardened plastic mould steel，aging- induration plastic steel，corrosion resistant plastic die steel， free-machining steel，whole-hardened steel，maraging steel etc. It generally deliver by the condition of pre-hardening and its hardness range from 180HB to 400HB.
